Shine Saints JFC - U6 (Year 1 in September 2022)

Shine JFC Under 6 Squad is eligible for boys and girls starting Year 1 in September 2022.  Book the season and pay £28.00 monthly by Direct Debit.  If, for any reason your child decides football isn't for them, you simply need to let us know so we can cancel your payment.

  • Football training on Saturday's starting from 10th September 2022. 
  • Saturday training outside at the Shine Sports Ground in Horfield, BS6 7XW from 08:45 and 9:45.
  • Shine Saints kit including shirt, shorts and socks for you to keep.

Training Facilities

Shine Saints Saturday training sessions take place outside at the Shine Sports Ground, Lime Trees Road, BS6 7XW between 8:45 and 9:45.

Start date Saturday 10th September 2022.  Season ends Saturday 15th July 2023. 

Please note we don't train in school holidays or bank holidays.  The dates training we already know we will NOT be running:

  • Saturday 29th October (Half Term)
  • 24th/31 December (Christmas break)
  • 18th February (Half Term)
  • 15th/22nd April (Easter break)
  • 3rd June (Half Term)
  • Your coach will notify you of any further dates we aren't running.
Season Overview

Players will get the chance to improve their technique in all the essential skills through fun games. These skills will be age appropriate as part of a progression through the age groups from Under 5 to Under 14.

The focus of the weekly sessions for the U6 squad will include:

  • Basic Attacking (Shooting)
  • Basic Defending (Tackling)
  • Ball Control
  • Communication and team work
  • Turning
  • Basic passing & dribbling
  • Learning to win & lose
  • Match rules through games

In addition to improving the participant’s knowledge of the game and helping them to work as part of a team, sessions will also incorporate fundamental skills such as; 

  • Balance
  • Speed
  • Communication
  • Co-ordination
  • Agility
Travelling to Shine
