Shine Sports Ground, BS6
During the season the Shine Saints coaching team will deliver a combination of competitive league matches and training sessions that will develop the players skills, techniques and knowledge of the game in a supportive and professional environment.
The Under 11 Squad is eligible for girls in Year 6 from September 2025.
Secure your place for £38.50 per month via Direct Debit through season running from Tuesday 5th August through to the end of the season in 2026. Your subs include the following:
- Pre-season Training - On Tuesdays, starting Tuesday 5th August 16:15-17:15, running until Tuesday 26th August 16:15-17:15.
- Season Training sessions - Tuesday evenings from 17:15-18:15 at Shine Sports Ground, BS6 7XW starting on Tuesday 2nd September 2025. (Not in school holidays)
- Training and/or friendly matches - Sunday mornings. The U11's are part of the Bristol Girls' League. The time will be anytime between 8:30-11:30 and confirmed by your coach each week via the match app SPOND.
- Home of the Shine Saints, where training take place - Shine Sports Ground, Lime Trees Road, BS6 7XW.
- Matchday Kit - Includes an ‘Official Kukri Shine Saints’ shirt, shorts and socks for you to keep.

Season Overview
Players will get the chance to improve their technique in all the essential skills through fun games.
The focus of the weekly sessions will include:
- Attacking (Shooting, Crossing)
- Defending (Tackling, Positions, Goal side)
- Pattern of play (E.g. playing out from the back, wing play and pressing the ball)
- Communication and team work
- Free kicks, penalties and other set play pieces
- Ball control (Dribbling, turning, skills & aerial control)
- Matches and rules
- Learning to win and lose
- Long, short, lofted and driven passing
- Team Formations
In addition to improving the participant’s knowledge of the game and helping them to work as part of a team, sessions will also incorporate fundamental skills such as;
- Balance
- Speed
- Communication
- Co-ordination
- Agility
Matchday and Training Facilities
Shine Saints Pumas home ground is located at the Shine Sports Ground, Lime Trees Road, BS6 7XW which provides an excellent sand based astro and grass playing surfaces with marked pitches and Football Association approved goals.
Please note we don't train in school holidays or bank holidays. The dates training we already know we will NOT be running and your coach will notify you should this change or others be added:
- October Half Term: Tuesday 28th October. No training for Half Term. Sundays are fixture dependant.
- Xmas break: Tues 23rd December, Sun 28th Dec/Tues 30th Dec/ Sun 4th Jan. Back for training Tues 6th Jan.
- February Half Term: Tues 17th February. No training for Half Term. Sundays are fixture dependent.
- All further dates, including Sundays will depend of fixtures and your coach will notify you of any changes.
- Easter dates will be confirmed nearer the time.
