Performing Arts Club - Peter Pan(Reception to Year 6)
A club led by our enthusiastic drama team
Cotham Gardens Primary School
This term, we’re taking flight to Neverland! The Performing Arts team will be staging a magical production of Peter Pan.
Our story begins in the Darling family nursery in London, where siblings Wendy, John, and Michael meet Peter Pan the spirited, mischievous boy who can fly. One night, Peter returns with his fairy companion Tinker Bell and invites the children on an unforgettable journey to Neverland, a place filled with fairies, pirates, mermaids, and the Lost Boys.
Once in Neverland, the children join Peter on thrilling adventures, including daring encounters with the fearsome Captain Hook, who is determined to get his revenge. Throughout their journey, themes of imagination, bravery, and the bittersweet process of growing up come to life.
During this unit, the children will be creating their own props, dressing up in character, and bringing the story to life through acting, singing, and dancing with plenty of opportunity for children who want to be part of the club, they could help direct, stage manage or choregraph.
We will perform the show towards the end of the summer term. An invitation will be sent out in the first couple of weeks of rehearsals. We look forward to seeing you there!
