Junior cricket resumes at Golden Hill with Shine

Shine Cubs Cricket Development Squad (Under 6's) is now open for booking! As always, Shine will provide an exciting opportunity for children of all abilities to develop their cricket skills and knowledge in a supportive outdoor environment with our qualified, experienced and friendly coaches.
Following Government guidelines (Source), Shine will endeavour to ensure the children maintain social distancing within their small groups at all times. However, we cannot give an absolute guarantee that the two metre rule will be adhered by everyone throughout the entire session. Our updated risk assessment for these activities shows how we plan to manage and minimise this risk. We are following the advice of regular cleaning, minimising contact and mixing, frequent hand washing/sanitising and avoiding contact with anyone with symptoms. In order to limit contact, your child will be based in a group of no more than five children for the duration of the session and we will have social distancing measures in place for sign in and sign out.
This is a six week programme that will ensure children remain in the same group each week and, as part of the package, participants will receive an official Shine Cricket Club Cap.
Unfortunately, at this current time, parents will not be allowed to stay on site during the session.

- Footwear and clothing that are appropriate for the chosen activity.
- Traditional cricket 'whites' (recommended, but not essential)
- Suncream if appropriate. The Shine coaches are unable to apply suncream to your child
- Water bottle
- Children are welcome to bring their own cricket equipment but please ensure you remember to take it with you at the end of the session!
Additional Details
Shine Cubs Cricket's U6's development squad for 6 weeks commencing Saturday 20th June and 5 Saturdays thereafter from 09:00-10:00 at Golden Hill Sports and Social Club, Wimbledon Rd, Bristol BS6 7YA (home of Golden Hill CC). You will be contacted before the start of the session if the weather is unsuitable and we are unable to play.
The 6 week coaching programme will involve a combination of match situations, skills drills and cricket themed exercises with an emphasis on healthy fun, whilst adhering to social distancing as much as we can.

- Please note that places are limited and bookings are made on a first come/first served basis each term.
- Shine’s professional coaching team are qualified, DBS checked and fully insured.
- This activity is available to children from any school, providing they are of the correct age group.
- Members of the Shine development squads are encouraged to participate in Shine's winter term time cricket programme that offers sessions appropriate for all ages and abilities.
