Play in a Day - The BFG(Years 3 to 6)

Come and recreate the classic story about the big friendly giant. Jump into the pages of this famous Roald Dahl story and explore your favourite characters. Stomp the ground as giants, whizz, pop and jump around catching dreams and use smelly snozcumbers to save the day!
Dressing up, decorating giant ears and making their own snozcumber, children will be guaranteed a fun packed day.
These play-in-a-day clubs are designed to bring the very best out of everyone and unlock their potential. Building confidence, enriching imaginations, trying new skills and building friendships all in one day!
Parents are invited to join us at the end of the day to watch a performance by the children to showcase what they have been working on during the day. There is no obligation to attend (or for your children to take part if they don't want to), it is just for fun and will take place at 3:25pm.
The Shine day finishes at 3:30pm - To extend your day until 4:00pm - simply tick 'Late Pick Up' when you add this activity to your basket.

Activity Details
The Shine Performing Arts group will be guided through a range of activities throughout the day. A typical day will start off with them participating in ice breaking activities/games. After break they will start the main activity of building up their character or performance based on the theme for the day. After lunch they will then create props and set designs for the end of day performance.
Children will get the opportunity to enjoy themselves through a wide range of different activities during the day, including;
- Storytelling
- Story building
- Discussion and ensemble building
- Devising
- Improvising
- Characterization
- Voice work
- Prop-making
- Costume dressing

- Your child/children must be signed out at the end of every day.
- This Holiday Club takes place at Clifton High School, College Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3JD. We use the main entrance to the school on College Road to drop off and collect all children.
