Portishead Town Football Club
Portishead Town Football Club are delighted to be hosting Football Fundays on site in the brilliant facilities at the Football Club.
Portishead's First Team Captain and a team of other player/coaches will take the children for a day of football fun with skills, drills and matches on the schedule. These sessions are in partnership with Shine, so we will be on site along with other activities on site - Mash-Ups and Creative Days.
The core day runs from 09:00am-3:30pm. Shine are OFSTED registered, so you can pay with Childcare Vouchers, please just follow the checkout process to choose your payment method.
Wraparound hours available:
Early Drop off from 7:45am please add when adding the session dates to your basket. The children are offered breakfast of toast and cereal when arriving early.
Late Pick Up - You can book your child to stay on until 5.55pm if you need extended childcare. We have 2 options:
- Late Pick Up until 4:45pm - Add on Late Pick Up when you book. Snacks are not provided but children are welcome to eat any snacks they have with them.
- Snack & Chill from 4:45pm until 5:55pm - Add on Late Pick Up AND Snack & Chill when you book. Snacks are provided in this session. This will generally be a quieter time for children after their long holiday club day.

ESSENTIAL KIT
- Water bottle - Please bring enough drinks for the day to ensure you stay hydrated. Water bottles can be refilled with water.
- Packed lunch including all snacks you might want during the day. (No nut products please)
- Sun cream applied before the start of the day if necessary.
- Clothing that is appropriate for the chosen activity and the weather. Children will have shelter but will be outside all day. Layers are best in the cold weather.
- Shin pads
- We will be playing on Portishead FC’s brand new 3G playing surface. The accompanying picture shows which footwear you will need if you are to play on the surface. If you don’t have the correct footwear then fear not, there is a boot bank by the side of the pitch where you can swap your trainers in for some more appropriate footwear, a bit like what you used to do when you’d go bowling!
Activity Details
During each activity we will ensure the children:
- Have lots of FUN!!
- Shooting and the basics of attacking play
- Controlling the ball with both feet
- Tackling and the basics of defensive play
- Free kicks, penalties and corners
- Understanding the game and its laws
- Fair Play - learning to win and lose
