Creative Workshops(Ages 5 to 7)
A fantastic day of creative fun and variety
Southville Primary School (Junior Site)
This summer, Shine Creative Workshops will be based around a different theme every week. Budding artists will stretch their imaginations and discover a kaleidoscope of potential while working on a host of different creations to bring home.
Children must already be in school to come to Shine Holiday Clubs, we are not able to accept children who are only starting this September.
w/c - 21st July - Jurassic Park theme
w/c 28th July - Under the Sea theme
w/c 4th July - A step back in time
w/c 11th Aug - Outerspace
w/c 18th Aug - Mythical Creatures
w/c 25th Aug - Into the Jungle
The Shine day finishes at 3:30pm - You can book your child to stay on at Shine until 5.55pm if you need extended childcare. We have 2 options:
- Late Pick Up until 4:45pm - Add on Late Pick Up when you book. Snacks are not provided but children are welcome to eat any snacks they have with them.
- Snack & Chill from 4:45pm until 5:55pm - Add on Late Pick Up AND Snack & Chill when you book. Snacks are provided in this session. This will generally be a quieter time for children after their long holiday club day.

- Some 'old' clothes!
- We will go outside for part of the day, so please bring a sun hat and coat, if necessary.
- Suncream must be applied before the start of the day if necessary.
- Packed lunch, drinks and snacks for the day. We request that you refrain from sending anything containing nuts to Shine please.
- Water bottle
Activity Details
The Shine Creative group will be guided through a day of art choices, Shines experienced, supportive staff who will deliver a series of art based workshops and creative choices. Although many of the activities will be based indoors the Shine team will encourage the boys and girls to move outdoors to get some inspiration from nature and the fresh air when the weather is fair.
Children will get the opportunity to enjoy themselves through a wide range of different activities during the day including:
- Junk Modelling
- Inspiration in Nature
- Seasonal Art Competition
- Free Choice Art
- Building with Lego
- Urban Art
- Fun with food
Please note that the content of a typical Shine Creative day is partially dictated by the weather and the time available. So, whilst we can guarantee that there will be lots of fun and enjoyment each day, we cannot promise any specific activity on any given day.

- Your child/children must be signed out at the end of every day.
