BRAND NEW! Due to the success of the Shine Cubs & Lions Development Squad, we are delighted to launch this new Shine Girls' Cricket Development Squad based indoors at The Shine Community Sports Hall in Henleaze.

Shine Girls' Cricket Development Squad is designed to inspire girls from Year 2 to Year 5 to be involved in cricket with other like-minded girls in a fun, safe and welcoming environment. It provides girls of all abilities with an exciting opportunity to develop their cricket skills and knowledge in a supportive and inclusive environment with qualified experienced coaches.

Please note that there is no session on Friday 21st February due to February Half Term.

Essential kit:
  • Footwear and clothing that is appropriate for the chosen activity. 
  • Traditional cricket 'whites' (recommended, but not essential) 
  • Water bottle
  • Children are welcome to bring their own cricket equipment but please ensure you remember to take it with you at the end of the session!

  • Please note that places are limited and bookings are made on a first-come/first-served basis each term.
  • Shine’s professional coaching team are qualified, DBS checked and fully insured.
  • This activity is available to children from any school, providing they are of the correct age group.

BRAND NEW Shine Girls' Cricket Development Squad Winter Training season runs from from January to April with sessions taking place on Friday evenings at Shine Community Sports Hall, Brecon Road, Henleaze, BS9 4DT.  We then run into the Summer Cricket Development Squads.

The 12 week coaching programme will involve a combination of match situations, skills drills and cricket themed exercises with an emphasis on healthy fun. The sessions for Shine Girls' Cricket Development will involve the use of softball.
